OCT 28, 2026 / Curry’s 44-Point Masterclass Keeps the Wolves at Bay / @ Minnesota Timberwolves W 119-114
Minneapolis, MN - Stephen Curry delivered another dazzling performance, scoring 44 points as the Golden State Warriors survived a furious Minnesota Timberwolves comeback to claim a 119–114 victory. Golden State built a commanding 24-point advantage during the third quarter, but Minnesota refused to disappear, cutting the deficit to seven with less than three minutes remaining. Curry, who shot 11-for-27 from the field and converted all 16 free throws, provided the answers when the Warriors needed them most. He maneuvered around Trey Lyles for a late layup and later found rookie Yaxel Lendeborg following a steal, helping Golden State withstand Minnesota’s rally. Lendeborg continued his promising start to the season, giving the Warriors another offensive option beside their veteran superstar. Jaden McDaniels and Ayo Dosunmu helped fuel Minnesota’s comeback, while former Warrior Jonathan Kuminga scored 12 first-half points against his previous team. The Timberwolves played without Anthony Edwards, who was undergoing knee surgery. Curry also briefly appeared shaken after diving for a loose ball during the third quarter but returned to action. Golden State earned its second consecutive victory after opening the season with three straight defeats, although its inability to protect a substantial lead nearly spoiled Curry’s outstanding performance.
