Prince Dauntless is ready to marry, but his sharp-tongued mother, Queen Aggravain, keeps every possible bride away with impossible royal tests, leaving the whole court stuck under her rules. Then Princess Winnifred arrives, loud, honest, muddy, fearless, and nothing like the polished princess everyone expects. Her entrance shakes the castle like a dropped chandelier. Around her, nervous lovers, scheming nobles, a silent king, and a court full of gossiping onlookers try to survive the queen’s games without losing their hearts or their heads.
