Theatre People / Play
For Tickets & Info:

Theatre People is a full-length romantic comedy farce set in a stylish 1948 Newport mansion, where writers, actors, ambition, and bruised egos all start bumping into the furniture. Young Oliver Adams is about to see his novel become both a published book and a Broadway play, which should be wonderful news, except the story is secretly inspired by Margot Bell, the glamorous actress he adores. When Oliver, Margot, a married pair of famous playwrights, and other theatre-world personalities gather under one roof for a weekend, the house becomes a pressure cooker of romance, misunderstandings, overheard conversations, and theatrical panic. Everyone seems to be performing, even when they are supposedly being honest, and the thin walls of the mansion turn private feelings into public complications. With its mix of screwball timing, backstage vanity, literary dreams, and love-struck chaos, Theatre People invites audiences into a world where making art is nearly as messy as falling in love, and where the people who create drama may be the most dramatic ones in the room.

- The Tin Woman / Play -

The Tin Woman is a contemporary dramatic comedy about Joy, a heart-transplant recipient who expected a second chance to feel like a miracle but instead finds herself stuck in confusion, guilt, and emotional free fall. Rather than stepping into her new life with gratitude and trumpet music, she wrestles with the heavy question of what it means to live because someone else did not. Her search for peace leads her toward the donor’s grieving family, where love, loss, anger, awkward humor, and unfinished sorrow all sit at the same table. The play blends warmth and wit with honest heartbreak, following people who are trying to make sense of a gift that came wrapped in tragedy. As Joy, the donor’s parents, and his sister cautiously circle one another, The Tin Woman becomes less about medicine and more about connection, healing, and the strange, stubborn ways people learn to keep going when life has cracked them open.

- 39 Steps / Play -

39 Steps is a fast-paced comedy play and spy-thriller parody that turns a classic chase story into a wildly inventive theatrical romp. Richard Hannay, a bored London gentleman, is yanked from his ordinary life after a mysterious woman pulls him into a dangerous web of secrets, spies, and mistaken identity. Soon he is racing across Britain, dodging police, villains, suspicious strangers, and increasingly ridiculous trouble, all while trying to uncover what “the 39 steps” really means. The fun comes from the show’s clever stagecraft: a tiny cast plays a huge crowd of characters, switching voices, hats, accents, and attitudes at breakneck speed. Trains, moors, music halls, apartments, and shadowy hideouts appear through quick changes and playful imagination rather than big spectacle. Part mystery, part farce, and part loving spoof of old suspense films, 39 Steps mixes danger with silliness, romance with chaos, and old-fashioned intrigue with theatrical mischief, making the chase feel both thrilling and cheerfully unhinged.
