Firehouse Arts Center - The Golden Bay Times

The holiday season receives a generous helping of sparkle, laughter, and old-fashioned showmanship when The Golden Follies return with their festive celebration of music and dance. This lively ensemble of senior entertainers proves that enthusiasm, theatrical flair, and a little holiday mischief never go out of style. Against a cheerful backdrop of seasonal imagery, the performers bring Christmas to life through energetic choreography, familiar melodies, and colorful costumes that capture the magic of the most wonderful time of the year. Reindeer, snowflakes, Christmas trees, and beautifully wrapped presents help create an atmosphere where holiday memories mingle with the excitement of live entertainment. Joining the festivities is acclaimed Bay Area vocalist Deborah Del Mastro, whose dynamic musical presence adds another dimension to the celebration. Percussionist Rusty King accompanies the performers, contributing rhythmic energy to an afternoon filled with seasonal cheer. Rather than following a traditional storyline, the production unfolds as a succession of entertaining musical and dance numbers, each offering another reason to celebrate. With its nostalgic charm, playful personality, and spirited performers, A Very Follies Holiday invites audiences to rediscover the timeless pleasures of a classic holiday variety show.
