Head Over Heels is a vibrant jukebox musical comedy that blends the infectious pop-rock music of the Go-Go’s with a whimsical story inspired by a 16th-century pastoral romance. Set in the colorful kingdom of Arcadia, the tale follows King Basilius and his royal family as their peaceful world begins to tremble under the shadow of mysterious prophecies that could bring an end to their reign. Determined to outwit fate, the king leads his court on an unpredictable journey filled with disguises, tangled romances, mistaken identities, and unexpected revelations. Along the way, the princesses grapple with love that challenges royal expectations, loyal companions discover courage they never knew they possessed, and an oracle’s warnings push everyone toward uncomfortable truths about themselves. As the adventure unfolds, the characters find that the path to saving their kingdom may lie not in avoiding destiny but in embracing change, honesty, and the courage to live authentically. Fueled by energetic choreography, playful humor, and beloved songs like “We Got the Beat” and “Our Lips Are Sealed,” the musical creates a lively, colorful world where romance, self-discovery, and the joy of being unapologetically yourself collide in spectacular fashion.
