Teen Phenom Puts Sharks on His Back in OT Thriller
San Jose Sharks (3) vs Utah Mammoth (2) OT

San Jose, CA - Macklin Celebrini turned a tense finish into a statement performance, capping his second hat trick of the season with a power play winner in overtime as the San Jose Sharks edged the Utah Mammoth 3-2. The 19 year old lit up the scoreboard early, striking at 1:47 off a smooth passing sequence with Will Smith and Philipp Kurashev, then burying a breakaway minutes later for his 12th of the year as San Jose jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Utah fought back in the third, with JJ Peterka scoring both Mammoth goals, including the equalizer with under three minutes left, which briefly spoiled an otherwise steady night from Yaroslav Askarov. In overtime, Utah got tagged with a too many men penalty, and Celebrini wasted zero time punishing it, ripping the winner past Vitek Vanecek with just over two minutes remaining. The rookie now has 30 points in 20 games, joining Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby as the only teenagers to reach that pace while also setting franchise records for points and goals through 20 games. Askarov made 24 saves, Vanecek stopped 19, and the Sharks climbed to 9 8 3 while handing Utah its third straight overtime loss.

Sharks’ Four‑Game Run Smothers in Calgary
San Jose Sharks (0) @ Calgary Flames (2)

Calgary, Alberta, Canada - The San Jose Sharks’ recent get‑right moment hit a speed bump in a 2‑0 loss to the Calgary Flames on Nov. 13. The Sharks looked flat, especially through the first two periods, yielding a 27‑6 shots‑on‑goal disadvantage after two. Goalie Yaroslav Askarov stood tall with 34 saves, but his efforts couldn’t overcome costly turnovers in front of him, most notably the misplay that led to Blake Coleman’s 5:46 mark second‑period goal. On the other side, rookie net‑minder Dustin Wolf made his first shutout of the season with 16 stops in just his 10th NHL appearance. Calgary sealed the deal when Samuel Honzek buried an empty‑netter with five seconds remaining. San Jose’s four‑game win streak ended abruptly, and the club falls to 8‑7‑3 heading into its next stop. The Flames, meanwhile, shook off their own skid and sent a message: mistakes matter, and the Sharks paid the price tonight.

Sharks Clench a Tight Win Behind Celebrini Spark
San Jose Sharks (2) @ Minnesota Wild (1) OT

Saint Paul, MN - The San Jose Sharks pulled off a gutsy 2–1 overtime win against the Minnesota Wild marking San Jose’s fourth straight victory and extending its point streak to seven games. The Wild struck first in the second period when Matt Boldy blasted home a power play goal off a slick cross-ice feed from Mats Zuccarello. But the Sharks weren’t done. With just over eight minutes left in the third, Will Smith sniped the equaliser on San Jose’s power play, thanks to a pinpoint assist by budding star Macklin Celebrini — his second helper of the night. Then in OT, Celebrini again set the table: he threaded a pass into the middle for Collin Graf, who deked past Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson and finished into the empty net 2:41 into overtime. On the defensive end, Sharks netminder Yaroslav Askarov stopped 28 of 29 shots to secure the win, while Gustavsson saved 16 of 18 in the loss. The result signals that San Jose may finally be shifting from “we’ll contend” to “we will win,” and if this young core keeps delivering those clutch plays, the Sharks might not just compete, they might surprise.

Sharks Clench a Tight Win Behind Celebrini Spark
San Jose Sharks (2) vs Winnipeg Jets (1)

San Jose, CA - The  Sharks edged the Winnipeg Jets 2‑1 in a close and even matched game today, thanks to a late surge and a standout night from rising star Macklin Celebrini. Will Smith buried the decisive goal late in the third period, breaking a 1‑1 deadlock and giving San Jose a hard‑earned victory. Celebrini chipped in with both a goal and an assist, catapulting him into the NHL’s scoring lead while showcasing his growing impact on the ice. Between the pipes, Alex Nedeljkovic held firm, stopping 32 shots and delivering a clutch performance when it mattered most. The Jets had opened the scoring and gave the Sharks little room to breathe, but San Jose’s response and discipline down the stretch made the difference. This one was far from easy, but in tight games like these the Sharks demonstrated poise and opportunism, something they’ll want to build on as the season unfolds.

Sharks Stun Kraken With Explosive Start and Stellar Goalie
San Jose Sharks (6) @ Seattle Kraken (1)

Seattle, WA - The San Jose Sharks delivered a stunning performance dismantling the Seattle Kraken 6–1 and reminding the league they’re more than just a rebuilding team. Rookie sensation Macklin Celebrini set the tone just 1:08 into the game with a goal and later added two assists, showing poise well beyond his years. The scoring parade included tallies from Will Smith, Tyler Toffoli, John Klingberg, Ethan Cardwell, and Ty Dellandrea, with the Sharks putting three goals past the Kraken in the first four minutes of the third period alone. Yaroslav Askarov was sharp between the pipes, turning away 28-29 shots to pick up his second straight win. Seattle’s lone highlight came in the form of Ryan Winterton’s first NHL goal, but the Kraken were otherwise flat and handed their first regulation home loss of the season. For a San Jose squad that’s struggled for traction early in the year, this win didn’t just snap a losing funk, it showcased the promise of their young core and the potential of a roster starting to click when it matters.

Sharks Fight Back Late But Fall in Shootout to Red Wings
San Jose Sharks (3) vs Colorado Avalanche (2) OT

San Jose, CA - The Sharks showed heart on Sunday, battling back from a deficit to scratch across two goals in the final frame and force extra time against the Red Wings. Jeff Skinner gave San Jose a spark early in the third, and rookie Sam Dickinson stepped into the spotlight by scoring his first NHL goal with about three minutes left to pull the game even. But Detroit answered in overtime and when the shootout rolled around, Cam Talbot stood tall, stopping every shooter before James van Riemsdyk tucked in the winner in the fourth round. Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider had built the initial 2–1 lead for Detroit, setting the tone for a gritty contest. While San Jose’s young core showed promise, the inability to finish in the shootout stung. The Sharks will take solace in the fight they showed, but the result still slips away. It was another narrow loss that underscores how tight margins are at this stage of the rebuild.

Sharks Make Waves With First Home Win
San Jose Sharks (5) vs New Jersey Devils (3)

San Jose, CA - The Sharks broke through at home for the first time this season by defeating the New Jersey Devils 5-2 in San Jose. The tone was set early when William Eklund zipped in on a breakaway just 42 seconds into the game and beat the Devils’ goalie five hole. From there, Philipp Kurashev and Alex Wennberg added goals in the first period to give the Sharks a commanding 3 to 0 lead. New Jersey managed to cut the lead to 3 to 1 with a power play strike by Dawson Mercer late in the period, but San Jose regained control in the second. Will Smith scored midway through the frame, and then Tyler Toffoli deflected a shot from the point to make it 5 to 1 near the end of the period. Mercer added his second of the game on another Devils power play early in the third for a 5 to 2 final. Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 29 shots, helping San Jose earn its first home regulation win of the season. The Sharks looked more disciplined, blocked shots, and steadily improved as the game went on, giving fans reason for optimism after a tough start.

Sharks’ Three‑Goal Lead Slips Away in Nail‑Biter
San Jose Sharks (1) vs Los Angeles Kings (3)

San Jose, CA - The Sharks looked to build off a recent overtime win but ran into the Los Angeles Kings' surge and fell 4–3 at home. San Jose jumped ahead early when Philipp Kurashev opened the scoring with a wrist shot at 17:16 of the second period, assisted by Alex Wennberg and William Eklund. Just over a minute later, Will Smith made it 2–0 after a slick setup from Eklund and rookie Macklin Celebrini. The Sharks made it 3–0 early in the third on a goal by Mario Ferraro, but things quickly unraveled. The Kings stormed back with three unanswered goals from Drew Doughty, Jeff Malott, and Corey Perry in under four minutes to tie the game. With 6:40 left, Brandt Clarke fired home the game-winner from the right circle. Despite a late push, including a near short-handed goal in the final minute, the Sharks couldn't force overtime. Goalie Darcy Kuemper was sharp for LA with 37 saves, frustrating San Jose down the stretch. What started as a statement performance turned into a tough lesson in holding momentum for a young Sharks team still searching for consistency.

Sharks Brief Spark Ends as Devils Roll In
San Jose Sharks (1) @ New Jersey Devils (3)

Newark, NJ - The San Jose Sharks got off to a promising start when William Eklund converted a power-play opportunity just 2:25 into the game to give them a 1–0 lead. However, the New Jersey Devils answered emphatically with a dominant middle frame of their own. Veteran Dougie Hamilton supplied two power-play goals and an assist to take over the night, while Nico Hischier notched three assists and goalie Jake Allen stopped 16 shots in a 3–1 victory for New Jersey, tallying their seventh straight win. For the Sharks, the early energy couldn’t be sustained. After jumping to the lead, they managed no further goals as the Devils flipped the momentum in the second and added an empty-net tally to seal it. The Sharks fall to 1–5–2 and are still searching for consistency, while the Devils continue a scorching hot start and look like serious contenders early in the season. The loss highlights San Jose’s ongoing struggles with discipline and depth, especially against top-tier teams who know how to exploit mistakes. There were flashes of potential, but flashes alone won’t be enough to light up the standings.

Broadway Lights, Silicon Ice
San Jose Sharks (6) @ New York Rangers (5)

New York, NY - San Jose and New York traded haymakers at Madison Square Garden, and the kids in teal stole the show in a 6–5 overtime thriller. Adam Gaudette opened the scoring at 18:02 of the first, then rookie Macklin Celebrini caught fire, wiring a power-play strike at 13:43, tucking another with nine seconds left in the period, and finishing his hat trick with six seconds left in the second. The Rangers kept answering, fueled by Taylor Raddysh’s own hat trick that started late in the first, continued with an unassisted snipe in the second, and tied it 5–5 with 8:10 to play. Between the punches, the night rang with iron, as Alexis Lafrenière and J.T. Miller found post and crossbar, Artemi Panarin clipped the left pipe, and Celebrini and Tyler Toffoli rattled metal during a third-period two-man advantage. Ryan Reaves and Matt Rempe tossed five-minute reminders that this rivalry still has teeth. In the end, Will Smith authored the final word, first restoring the lead at 13:29 of the third from William Eklund and Celebrini, then walking in at 3:22 of overtime to bury the winner off a Celebrini feed and a rare secondary assist from goalie Alex Nedeljkovic, who had earlier even swallowed a shot from Igor Shesterkin.

Islanders Edge Sharks in a Swingy, Bruising Tilt at UBS
San Jose Sharks (3) @ New York Islanders (4)

Elmont, NY - San Jose opened with bite, stealing momentum on a first-period penalty kill when Collin Graf jumped a Barzal turnover and buried a shorthanded finish off Ty Dellandrea at 11:31, but the Islanders counterpunched fast and often. Bo Horvat struck from the slot at 10:34, Casey Cizikas pounced unassisted at 9:30, and with the period winding down Emil Heineman cashed a power play tip at 0:32 set up by Anders Lee and Max Shabanov to make it 3–2 after Adam Gaudette had briefly pulled San Jose level at 5:44 from Michael Misa and Graf. New York added needed breathing room in the second when Matthew Schaefer ripped home the eventual winner at 13:22 off feeds from Anthony Duclair and Kyle Palmieri, a frame that also saw Tyler Toffoli ring the right post and Scott Mayfield clip the crossbar. Rookie Macklin Celebrini dragged the Sharks back within one at 9:44 of the third from Dmitry Orlov and Mario Ferraro, then kept coming with a flurry that included a power play snap shot at 8:56 and two last-minute tries blocked by Simon Holmstrom, Horvat, and finally Lee at 0:04. Yaroslav Askarov battled to keep San Jose in it, but Ilya Sorokin’s steady glove and a pile of late Islanders blocks sealed a 4–3 home win.
