![]() | Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci is a dramatic double-bill opera pairing blending two gritty tales of love, betrayal, jealousy, and revenge set in rustic Italy. In the first opera, Cavalleria Rusticana, villagers in a Sicilian town gather for Easter as old wounds resurface: a young soldier returns home to find his former love married, and in his anger and wounded pride he pursues another woman. Bitter jealousy, heartbreak, and social pressure collide against the backdrop of faith and tradition until romantic deception spirals toward vengeance. The music pulses with raw emotion as simple lives unravel in tragic intensity. Then Pagliacci throws us backstage to a travelling troupe of actors who arrive in a small town hoping to entertain. Behind the laughter and stage costumes there are real lives, marred by a painful betrayal. The troupe’s lead, a clown bound to perform, discovers that his wife has been unfaithful. As he is forced to carry on with the show, his personal agony bleeds into the performance. Warm on the outside and seething beneath the paint, the clown grapples with jealousy and rage. Together these two operas deliver a powerful, haunting evening of human frailty and dramatic passion.

• OPENS APRIL 19, 2026 • La Traviata / Opera La Traviata, the celebrated opera by Giuseppe Verdi, sweeps audiences into the glittering social circles of nineteenth century Paris where beauty, desire, and reputation collide in ways that feel both grand and painfully human. At its center is a woman whose elegance and charm make her the star of every room, yet her heart longs for something far deeper than the parties that surround her. When she crosses paths with a young man who sees beyond her carefully crafted world, their connection sparks a romance that feels both impossible and irresistible. Verdi shapes their story with soaring melodies that mirror every shift in emotion, from quiet longing to joyful abandon. Beneath the lavish settings and graceful music lies a thoughtful exploration of love that asks how far someone is willing to go when that love is threatened by society, pride, and personal sacrifice. The opera moves with a rhythm that blends intimacy and spectacle, guiding the audience through moments that are tender, hopeful, and full of tension without ever revealing where that journey leads. It invites the viewer to follow its characters closely and discover how love can transform a life even in the face of doubt and consequence.
• October 13, 2026 • Sukhishvili / Opera Sukhishvili is an electrifying live dance ballet rooted in Georgian folk tradition and elevated into a full theatrical spectacle. On stage, dozens of dancers and a live orchestra create a vibrant journey through the regions of Georgia, blending traditional choreography with athletic power and elegant storytelling. Male dancers drive the momentum with rapid footwork, soaring jumps, and precise swordplay that looks both dangerous and poetic. Female dancers move with fluid grace, their long skirts drifting across the stage as if carried by mountain winds. Richly embroidered costumes add layers of history and color, turning every formation into a moving tapestry. Traditional instruments shape the sound of the performance, filling the room with rhythms that echo ancient celebrations, quiet devotion, and spirited romances. The experience feels like stepping into a living cultural legend, where physical strength and soft beauty coexist, and where each dance hints at a deeper tale without revealing its heart. The result is a ballet concert that radiates pride, emotion, and a fierce sense of identity, inviting the audience to witness a world carried forward through movement, music, and tradition. |
